SUPERIOR
PROCESS KNOW-HOW:
Down to 0.001 mbar Vacuum
Over the last 50 years, thin film and short path evaporators have proven their value and flexibility in small multi-purpose pilot production facilities as well as large single-product commercial scale chemical and pharmaceutical plants. These evaporators are most suited for gentle distillation and concentration of high MW, heat sensitive and / or viscous products at very low pressures, generally under vacuum pressures between 100 mbar to as low as 0.001 mbar.
Often used in evaporation processes where falling film evaporators and other so-called conventional evaporators (e.g., forced circulation, rising film and the like) are performance-limited (due to high viscosity, or large pressure drop, or mass transfer limitations, or long residence time, etc.), GTS comprehensive expertise in thermal separation technology and heat transfer will provide our clients with the optimum solution for reliable operation and consistent product quality.
Since the most desirable thermal treatment frequently incorporates both thin film and short path evaporators, and often falling film evaporators as pre-concentration units, GTS offers extensive know-how and experience in the design, application and supply of complete systems utilizing such mechanically-aided film evaporators as well as other types of evaporation equipment.
